Melody struggled into a flannel shirt and sweat pants. It took about three times as long as normal and hurt like hell. She couldn't even imagine trying to put on a t-shirt right now. Good thing she'd taken the time to pick up a slew of front button shirts and a front-fasten support bra or she'd have been stuck wearing the same shirt for the next two weeks straight.

Bad enough she was relegated to sponge baths until her next doctor's visit.

She stared at the door as she dressed. Aidan was in her living room.

What the hell was he doing there?

He should be on his way to Malta by now and instead he was sitting in her frickin' living room.

And as much as she didn't want him there, some small part of her was thrilled at the sight of him. Now he knew and she hadn’t had to tell him about it.

Except, now he knew…

And?

Now what? Would he care? Would he leave?

She wondered if she could get away with staying in her room until he left, but she knew as soon as she thought it that he'd wait as long as it took.

Damn it. She did not need this right now.
